For current owners, as well as those of you thinking about taking the plunge into mobile bar entrepreneurship, Logan Brown and her mother’s story may sound familiar.
Getting restless in their “normal” everyday jobs, they sensed that they each needed a change.
“Both of us are rather free-spirited individuals who found ourselves struggling to focus in the positions we were previously working in.
My mother always wanted to start her own business and I tend not to like following everyone else's rules!
So, we figured that was enough to make it happen.
We decided that the conventional route of working an office job, wearing heels, and commuting to the city everyday was not for us.
So, along came Twenty-Ten Trailer Company...”
But, readers, if you’re daydreaming about handing in your resignation, buying a vintage trailer, giving it a new lick of paint, and hitting the open road by next Monday, the 2010 ladies warn that it isn’t all that easy.
Although as they explain, the journey to mobile bar ownership is incredibly rewarding.
“In terms of the build, we did absolutely everything ourselves, which was tough, and we doubted the decision at first, but we slowly came to enjoy the process.
It was really interesting to see the plans that we envisioned come to life right in front of us.
There were some things that we thought for sure we wouldn't be able to do, but when the time came we made ourselves at least try and they worked, every single time.
We are able to truly say that we are female owned, operated, and built, which is really exciting for us!"
And what an awesome job they did.
Starting with a rusty, black horse trailer, Logan and her mom sanded, scrubbed, painted and welded, until they were left with an elegant, modern mobile bar.
The clean aesthetics allow clients to use the 2010 trailer as a blank canvas, building on top with their own style, in order to set a scene in line with whatever their event theme requires - Classic, Chic, Boho, Country, Glam...the possibilities are endless.

As Logan continues, naming their trailer was a little easier than the build itself, and was inspired by an old friend.
“Back in 2010 we had a horse named "Whiskey" and he was a pivotal part of our lives for many reasons.
When we began this journey of opening a mobile bar, we went through so many options and variations of names.
Then it finally hit us, instead of naming the entire company after Whiskey or something alcohol or drinking related, we would just be a little bit different and opt for a numerical name instead; hence the creation of Twenty-Ten Trailer Co.
We looked around and found that there wasn't another mobile bar using a number as a name so the sails were set at that point and we were off!”
Opened for business in the summer of 2022, the super sleek mobile bar service has hit the ground running, already booked for corporate grand openings, photoshoots and more.
Logan talks us through the special feeling of landing their first event.
“I think the first time you book an event is always the most memorable!
First of all, I remember getting through the event details form that the client had filled out on our website.
I had built the site myself and just thought it was awesome that the form even worked to be honest!
We didn't even care at first that the client wanted to book with us!
By the time that realization set in, it was so inspiring that someone liked our vision as much as we did, and to think that someone wanted to have our trailer at their event was such an honor."
The vision that Logan mentions spans a whole host of options.
Event organizers can customize the 2010 horse trailer bar to whatever their heart desires.
Choose add-ons such as handcrafted specialty cocktails made with fresh ingredients, extra beverage stations for flavored waters, lemonade or teas, yard games, furniture rental, and specialty side bars serving Mimosa's, Moscow Mules, Margs, Mojitos, Bloody Mary, and Sangria.
Looking for something other than alcohol service? 2010 can also provide mocktails, soft drinks, lemonades, coffee, or sweet treats.
And for something completely different, why not deploy 2010 as a cigar bar?
“I would say the biggest challenge for us is developing what we can offer and how to display that as a package that we can share with people.
We strive to offer a great deal of customization, and especially since we are relatively new to this, it can be hard to put a value on our services”.
Well, if things continue going the way that they’ve started, I’m sure that the 2010 team won’t take too long at all to nail down their offerings.
Anyway, isn’t keeping yourself on your toes and doing things a little differently all part of rejecting the mundanity of a 9 to 5 in the city?
Based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, the 2010 Trailer Co. have free dates throughout October and November, some availability in December and are also now accepting bookings for 2023!
